What is Baffi?

Our concept is a simple solution to two problems.

So, how can these two groups connect with each other?

That’s where Baffi comes in.  We connect travelers from around the world to local experience professionals, whether they be experts in travel, sports, adventure or other types of activities.  These local experts offer travelers a depth of knowledge unparalleled by traditional tourist guidebooks.

Baffi helps travelers save time and quickly find exactly what they’re looking for.  Whether it’s an enriching cultural/historic itinerary, a delicious gastronomic adventure, a hiking itinerary in a completely new place, or a visit to artisanal boutiques, Baffi’s experiences are as diverse as its users.  Each itinerary on the Baffi marketplace is created by real locals who take pride in their work and the places they represent.

Itineraries are created by verified experts with years of experience in conducting in-person tours and allow you to benefit from their accumulated knowledge, while having the freedom to manage your trip the way it fits you, the traveler.

How do I use your service?

You can access our itineraries through the Baffi app.  The app supports both iOS and Android smartphones.  You may use the app without any registration to browse available itineraries, review the introductory materials made available by the guide for each itinerary, and see the reviews.  Once you are ready to purchase, you can create an account or use an existing iCloud or Google account to sign-up and make your purchase.  The itinerary is then available to you in the app and you can use it as many times as you like for the next 30 days following the purchase.

How can I use the itinerary once I purchase it?

Once your itinerary has been purchased, you can use it at any time.  There are two ways of using it: online, meaning the Baffi app uses the mobile or wifi connection to download and display the content to you as you use it, or by downloading the itinerary prior to the trip, in order to save your data traffic (roaming, etc.). In the latter case, all of the content downloads to your device and our app will not use any data on your device.  If you use the app in the standard online mode, you can benefit from the built-in navigation map that guides you from one point of interest (POI) to the next.  This capability is not available in the offline mode. However, if you use a standard map application, such as Google Maps, you can download the offline map for the area ahead of time and therefore have the map available to you on your adventure, without having to pay for the roaming charges.

I travel but I am also a guide, can I use your app?

Yes, if you are a guide or an experience professional, you can use our app to create your own itineraries. All you have to do is switch your profile type from visitor to guide in the app settings, and you will be able to start creating itineraries.  If you are interested in becoming a Baffi guide and have more questions, please review the FAQs for Guides.
